TMC on my unit periodically locks onto frequencies without station names and occasionally it locks onto a frequency with no TMC (and no station name is shown on the car radio for this frequency).

Powering the unit off and on doesn't appear to release the frequency and it seems to be locked on until the signal is lost.

As far as I can see, stations can only be excluded if a name is displayed.

Has anybody else seen this?

Does anybody know how to exclude a frequency when the name isn't displayed?

Apart from this, TMC appears to display problems from the south coast of England right up to Fraserburgh in the north of Scotland (17 pages is the most I've seen listed so far) - but I haven't had the pleasure of TMC re-routing me yet, so I'm waiting to see how this performs.

What satnav system are you using? A bit difficult for other site visitors to let you know whether they agree with you without knowing what unit you have TMC on. Question

Sorry, I assumed that the TMC function would work in a similar fashion on ALL models with MioMap v3.2 installed.

Anyway, I have a C250 with the new UK TMC receiver if that's any help.

When it does detect a signal though, it lists from the south coast of England right up to the north coast of Scotland and includes many items which haven't made it onto the local radio traffic bulletins.

At this time, I'm viewing it more as an observation than a problem but was curious to see if anybody else had experienced something similar.

You are quite right, but this forum also covers Medion products. TMC in Medion is quite a bit different than the Mio set-up, with it being free and no subscription required. I have a Medion so cannot help, but this prompt may push others with Mio TMC to help you. Wink
