|
|
Hi,
First time user of tt HOME. I have purchased a map upgrade using the special offer and have the transaction confirmation (tho' no email!).
Trouble is I can't get tt HOME to connect after I enter my login details. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm in a bit of a hurry as my download appears to expire after midnight GMT!
If it helps, the error messages are "network error" and "connection error". My connection is obviously still working as I can login to the tomtom site in the normal way.
Any help appreciated.

Did you upgrade from TT5 to TT6 or did you just upgrade TT5 maps?

I had Navigator 3 on a rx3715. This machine broke early in December and Santa brought a hx2490. Navigator 3 wouldn't install on the hx2490 and TT support said I can use the special offer to update the maps and get Navigator 6 (despite not having Nav 5) regardless. I checked twice!
I bought the downloaded maps, installed tt home and though it can see my new PDA it can't connect back to the tt home site.
Arghhhhh! |

It would appear the TomTom server is down, I cannot connect at the moment and its been like this for a number of hours, try later, or in the morning - Mike |

I guess the problem was with the tt server(s). I successfully managed to connect this morning and have downloaded everything except the actual maps.
I keep getting a "read error" when around 6-12% of the maps have been downloaded. There doesn't appear to be any checkpointing taking place so I have to start from scratch each time.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

If you have any firewall software running turn it off and try again, if this works re-enable your protection once the map has downloaded - Mike |
