I just updated to 6 from a much older version (3?) I wanted more up to date maps!
I used to be able to change the expected average speed for each road type but it seems it is no longer possible to do this.
Ive always thought it would be good if the software would learn from your actual driving what speeds you are likely to average and perhaps too variations on its suggested routes.
So my question is, in the absence of inputting such information, how can TomTom calculate an arrival time that is anywher near what you will achieve in practice? Does it by any chance learn?[/b] |

Road speeds are pre-programmed and cannot be edited. Tomtom uses these to calculate arrival times.
On the whole I find it sufficiently accurate for my needs. You will learn after a while where you are likely to make up time and where you will lose it relative to the programming.
Life is not perfect, so I'm happy with adequacy for now... |

Also TomTom will recalculate the arrival time and distance to you destination during your journey based on the relative time distance covered. _________________ Graham.
