Hi guys,
I need your help . I've been downloading the consolidated .zip file from your site for over a year with no problems - until recently (the last succesful was Version 4.092 15 September)!
All subsequent downloads have saved to my PC as an unknown file type titled "downloadcameras" - there is no file extension and none of my software (not only GPS related) will open it. As there is no extension, I can't change it to a .zip file in the properties page. Of note is that when then save dialogue window is open it says downloadcameras.php indicating an HTML preprocessor file, but as I say, once saved there is no file extension. All other .zip files download and open without problems. Any ideas?
My setup is:
Mio 168 running Navman SmartST v3.00.0054
PC is running Windows XP
Regards,
Steph |

If you have downloaded the correct File it should be named pgpsw-speed-cams.zip
Just a thought, is your Subscription uptodate? _________________ Richard

Oldboy,
Thanks for such a quick response.
Yes, I realise that the file should be called pgpsw-speed-cams.zip, but it just isn't!!
I should think my subscription is up to date because the subscription aspect started less than a year ago (10 months, Jan/Feb 06?)
Could you try downloading the file, select Navman and then Consolidated. I'd be interested to see your results as it's not just the PC I'm using now, but the one at work also.
Regards,

I have no problem downloading the file. 8)
When you go to the download page, can you make each selection?
For example:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras
Select Navman. Click Continue.
Select UK Consolidated. Click Download.
You should then be asked if you want to save the File to Disk.
Does all that happen?
If so then your Subscription is OK. _________________ Richard

Oldboy,
Yes, I manage to get that far and actually download, but as I say, it's not that database that downloads but this .php file
Update. I have managed to download the database using a machine at work. That either means that the problem has gone away or that the problem is with some setting on my home machine - I'll try again at home.
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Steph |
