Folks
there are a lot of helpful stuff here that lets you hack the c710[speedcams settings, bug fixes etc. ] but I am having issues getting it connected to my laptop via bluettoth. & I want to mention ,If this is not the right place to post this, then pl. let me know and you may also delete the post.
----------------------The issue-------------------------
when I try to connect the c710 to Bluetooth XP and I try to 'turn on' Bluetooth from the control panel [it's the option called as "turn discovery on",a checkbox]. doing this, from here on,I keep getting an error message that reads "An error occured while Windows was saving your settings: The following settings were not saved: Discoverability settings, Connection settings" followed by the next popup 'bluetooth device not found'
I have been to this site
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=883258). but no joy
In my XP-services section [bt service & bt support service] both are 'on' [automatic ]
[via add remove software]I see that the BT, is a dell bluetooth software, version = 3.0.1.804
Mio sees the laptop , but the icon is greyed out [ofcourse since it's discovery is inactive], and when it tries to talk to the laptop, I can't get the laptop to see it because of the initial issue. I know the key lies somewhere here, the laptop is not pairing because of the obvious.
has anyone got any good ideas 8) |

Had this happen on my setup. Really the easiest solution is to purchase the BlueSoleil software which is very cheap and makes BT connection so much easier. _________________ Reg |

Absolutely correct. You should remove all the existing bluetooth software using Windows Device Manager, and then install BlueSoleil. Once you have that, only use it and never try to use Windows programs like Explorer.

There is an interesting website at http://mioscripting.blogspot.com/ for C710 hackers. Maybe also for C510 .................. _________________ Reg |
