I am considering a PDA possibly XDA II I have a U2 usb GPS that works fine with my laptop. I am new to PDA's, is there a way of utilising this usb device or have I got to shell out extra cash yet again on one specifically for PDA

I don't think the XDAII has a USB host facility. As the Fortuna cannot be used in serial mode with an alternative cable set you would need a different GPS Sad

I am hoping to do the same thing (use a GPS mouse for both laptop and PDA). PDA versions come with a PS/2 connection that fits an adaptor cable to your PDA.

From what you are saying, you cannot use a USB-to-PS/2 adaptor on the GPS mouse? Is there any way to use the same GPS receiver on both laptop and PDA?

Ian.

There are many GPS Serial Mice that can be used on a PDA and PocketPC with the correct cable set. The Royaltek is just one example. Unfortunately the same does not apply to USB mice, sorry Sad
