Can you run TomTom whith the map residing on the PDA itself (I definately can't due to size limitations but I'm talking in theory if there were enough space on the PDA).
I wondered if, by trimming the Great Britain Map folder down to it's smallest possible size and then copying it to the pda memory from the sd card, you could then edit the CurrentMap.dat file to reflect the new location of the map folder? |

i ran a TT3 scotland map from the main memory of an iPAQ 5550 a few years back without having to modify anything. not sure if it will work with v5/v6 though. |

I know its not what he asked
But knowing the logik behind the question would be a big help
What is the reason for not wanting to put it on the storgae card.
As the the O/Q AHFAIK you cannot cut TomTom Maps like you can with Destinator Maps |
