I had no problem with TT1 until today. Switched it on and was told there was no map. Connected TT1 to the PC and found out that Folder "Great_Britain-map" was corrupted or unreadable. The enclosed disc does not seem to help. Crying or Very sad

Please can someone help?

Did you do a Full Backup when you first had the ONE?

If so you can Restore your Map Folder from that.

You might need to re-format the SD Card. The least you will have to do is Delete the Map Folder on the Card first.

I don't think I did. Crying or Very sad

Is there any other way of recovering it?

If you have no Backup, I would contact TomTom on 0845 1610009 and explain the situation. They open at 8:00 am - get in early as they can get very busy.8O

You will need the Product Code and the Device Code, even better if you have already Registered an Account on their Website, and maybe proof of purchase.

Hopefully they will be able to get you up and running again.

Remember - Always do a Full Backup.;)

That`s what they do on ebay, and the buyer can`t get an activation code.

I would think that if you could get another copy of the map it would work. This is because you own a product code from your original purchase, so everything is legal.

Just go to ttcode.com to get the activation code, if you haven't already done that.

The Product Code is just that. It's a Code for one specific piece of Data, so if you use another Copy it will require a different Code. The Original Code won't work.

If you 'borrowed' the Product Code the original owner is going to have problems further down the line when they want to Upgrade.
