This is neither News nor latest information but on popular request here is the link to the California state law forbidding suction mounts. You will get fined if you use one and get caught.

I guess they don't have road tax in California.

Just get a clip on rear view mirror that's nice and widw and mount your navigator onto that instead ....... |
