speed alert mph false readings

my garmin 360 is alerting me at the wrong speed for cameras ie 25mph in a 40mph zone and 19mph in a 30mph zone can someone explain why this is please

When you installed the POI's to the device you probably missed the selection for MPH, the default is KPH and that is exactly the speeds you are refering to.
Re-load the POI's to the device but on the POI Loaded application open the drop down box labeled "What units should be used for distance and speed?" make sure you select it to Feet and MPH - Mike

You have mixed the kph with the mph or chosen the wrong options on loading the database!
