Just entering the world of GPS, so need a bit of advice please.
I have Nokia 6630. Read your reviews and forums: found them very useful
1. Planning to get GlobalSat BT359.
2. A little confused on software. Planning on getting TomTom as it seems to be 'industry standard'. Would like to get Western Europe maps.

Will this run on my hardware OK?

Can I run the same software on my laptop? (ie use my laptop in the car in place of Nokia)

From what I gather you get an overall Europe 'route plan map' then load each country in detail as you need it. How much memory would I need?

You need Tom Tom Mobile - see http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=208&Language=1.

It comes bundled with Tom Tom's own sat nav receiver - I don't think you can buy it seperately (legitimately).

It will not run on your laptop. I think it comes with one country's Plus map. With that you get the country in detail (all side raods) plus the major roads only for the rest of Europe.
