I see on eBay a 133x miniSD card. In the item description it says to make sure the device supports 133x speed. THere are cards with 60x and others with even less.
What are you guys successfuly using? |

Actually, my i3 is hidden somewhere in my house and my wife refuses to give it to me before my birthday next week! So I'm reading quite a few threads and purchasing a card in preparation for my new bundle of joy.
I'm a self-employed ex-pat yankee living in hamburg and I really miss the simpler grid design of cities back home. I actually NEED my i3! |

Live in hamburg, travel often to USA, want card to load USA maps. Also want to load local POI info...wasn't sure how much space is left on internal memory. It's a i3 Deluxe which comes with Germany and Czech Republic installed. Just htought it was automatic that I need an extra card. No? |

From Garmin....
Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.
The POIs are stored onto the internal memory of the i3, so even if you
expanded the memory by inserting an SD-Card the POIs are still stored on the
internal memory.
Also the unit does not appear to work with another card. Want to buy a 1GB card? :-) |

actually, if you buy a micro-sd card (aka transflash) then in order to install poi's onto it you must use it with an adaptor and install directly onto the card as opposed to onto the i3. this will still work.
