CoPilot 6

Hi
can anyone offer advice to a novice. I have CoPilot 6 and would like to install speed camera database and warnings on my PDA (Mio 201). Cannot find any reference to version 6, always refers to 4 & 5. Is this not available or am i missing something (which is very likely)

Hi and welcome to the CoPilot forums.


It can be quite difficult to find out how to include the Safety Cameras into CoPilot, and just to make things difficult, there are three different ways to acomplish it, using two totally different types of file, and that isn't including all the minor variations on each theme.

Rather than give all the permutations and combinations, it is probably easier for both of us to follow the latest method, but before we do that, I will need answers to the following questions:

First of all have you updated to the latest v6.0.1.68?

There are links to instructions on this page which are useful for downloading the files, but, they were originally written for the OV2 method introduced when CoPilot 6 was released. A complete new sub-system for handling safety cameras was included with the 6.0.1.68 update.

If so, do you have a subscription to this site to download the files?

How proficient are you with changing names of files, opening, and changing the contents of them etc.?

Will you be wanting to add any other POIs of your own, or ones you have downloaded elsewhere?

Do you have a card reader for your PC?
