I've selected the options to receive notification of replies to threads I've posted in but I don't receive those emails. Not sure why. I use a hotmail account, perhaps that's the problem?
These forums are the best, always something new to moan about, erm, I mean discuss in a grown up fashion :P and regular expert advice and opinions from the mods is excellent. Thank you. :D |

Have you got the right email address?
You may want to try another email address for a while.

Also some ISP's erroneously block certain domains and certain IP ranges, so if you are having problems, you may want to try a different email account with another ISP and change your profile. |

I think I might know what the problem is. The "TO:" field in the email notifications is null. Aggressive mail servers that enforce properly formatted non-spam email may be rejecting or black-holing these messages. I'm not sure about Hotmail specifically, but that could be the problem.
My mail server lets them in, but it's a hassle to get procmail to filter them properly because of the missing "TO:" field. In my case the notifications get routed to the wrong inbox.
Moderators - is there any chance this can be fixed? |
