No trace for sale of the i3 in the new Argos catalogue.
Why is this I wonder and where does it leave us with their returns policy should we need to do so ???? [/b] |

Working in retail already the Garmin i3 is virtually discontinued now & is selling through its last remaining stock which is why most places like Halfords, Comet & Maplin Electronics are selling them cheaply around 100 quid mark |

had a faulty i3 brought online from maplins in september 2005 (cost £199)..took it back to the shop and they sent it away to their repair dept and maplins gave me a full refund ...went to comet and got one for £99...moral is if argos cant replace the faulty one they should do you a refund.. _________________ *************************** |

Yes I accept all this but what it does mean is that when I take my I3 in which is now faulty I am faced with buying a repalcement with around the £180 it cost me.
Which one should I get bearing in mind I want to keep using the sped camera database and POI |

if you get a refund of your purchase price (£180) , you go to comet and buy a new one for £99.....reload your pois and you are quids in.... _________________ *************************** |

I couldnt get one in Comet in a 70 mile radius and Halfords no longer sell them according to my local store.
I got mine from cpw but it was listed at £146 and I got it down to £125 as that what it sells on cpw web site. The shops system wouldnt allow it to go to price match Comets price of £99.99. |

Replaced it for £107.94 from Comet Direct which included a premium charge for named delivery time
So quids in really seeing as Argos gave me back my full £230 including product insurance! |
