Hi EA,

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

What version of TomTom Navigator 3 are you using?
How long have you had the set-up?
How long has it been running correctly, and how long has it been faulty?
Have you made any changes to the set-up, i.e. added programs etc?

The only way to reset the TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiver is to leave it switched on until it is drained. Fully charge up the TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiver again and leave it outside and switched on to get a lock onto the satellites.

Regards,

Thank you.

Well this is my first pda, 3870 as my new pda 5550 is wrecked and doesnt work. So i decided to try and use this instead of 5550 and bluetooth gps, it worked fine on the 5550 as far as i am aware.

I dont think its ever been running correctly, ive not used this combination many times. Ive added checkpoint and the post code thing but im not sure if those are affecting it.

Might try and drain battery of gps.

Its version 3.03(427)

Hi EA,

You say that you’ve not used the combination many times. How long have you been using it on the 3870? Did you ever use it on the 5550?

Are you using a legitimate copy of TomTom Navigator 3.03, i.e. do you have both a genuine Product Code and a genuine Activation code? Are you using a pirated copy?

Regards,

Personally I had exactly the same symptoms with TT3 and then TT5 (lagit versions!) on my old Ipaq and after installing a number of Ipaq and TT software upgrades/updates, hard resets and TT re-installations I finally gave up!! I now own a Ipaq hx2410 and TT5 works great!
Personally, I think Compaq/HP had bluetooth hardware problems with their earlier models (if not on all models then at least on some).

Ive probably used it 3 times. I did use it with my 5550 and it worked fine i think.

It is a very legit copy and legit gps bluetooth device.

I have an update disk and i thought that might be the problem but i reinstalled it on orginal disk and it still didnt work correctly.

Is there any downlaods i can use to update my ipaq 3870 at all, to a newer system or whatever?

The 3870 is probably running under Microsoft Windows for Pocket PC 2002, if this is the case check the following link for updates:

Also, check the TT site for updates/grades to Nav3.
