|
|
I have TomTom Navigator 5.210 installed on my Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N500.
The speed camera database was working fine until I updated the files and now the visual warnings don't show and the audio warnings don't play either.
I've deleted the .cfg file in the Great Britain maps folder of the SD card and I also deleted the poi.dat file but the audio and visual warnings still don't work
Any help would be appreciated! |

The files should reside in the Map folder so if you've deleted your GB map folder, your camera files have probably gone west, too. _________________ Tim |

I didn't delete the maps folder, I only deleted the .cfg file and poi.dat file in the maps folder after the audio and visual warnings stopped working.
When I updated the cameras, I didn't delete the older camera files, I overwritten them and after that the warnings didn't work. |

Oops, sorry. I read it as "I've deleted the .cfg file (why?) and the Great Britain maps folder. _________________ Tim |

Simply set-up your camera warnings again within Change Prefences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI this should recreate the file that you have deleted, why have you deleted the inbuilt POI files as their remaval offers little benefit? - Mike |

I deleted the .cfg and poi.dat files because I read in other threads that it helps fix the problem but it didn't for me. |

Tried that and its still giving no audio/visual warning when approaching a speed camera. I don't know why |

It should do. have you set it up with the Warn when near POI set to "Warn if POI only on route" - if you have done when you checked this did you have a navigate to destination i.e. a route set, if not the unit will not warn of a camera if a route isn't present. - Mike |

Yeah, I set it to "Warn if POI only on route" and then laid a route out with Advanced Planning and then route demo and I'm getting no warnings whereas before I did while driving or while doing a route demo. |
