AutoRoute is advertised on Microsoft website as having connection to GPS, voice directions etc and there is a picture of a PDA and a statement that it includes PocketMaps for PDA.

But I have not seen any independent reviews of the program.

I have a HP IPAQ 2010 with a HAICOM CF GPS. Can I use this in combination with AutoRoute as an in car navigation system?

I have bought ViaMichelin Mapsonic in 2004 and used it with this equipment and been reasonably satisfied. Bu when I should reinstall it on another computer and my PDA had suffered a hard reset, I faund that CD nr 4 had gone missing and the program was unable to reinstall.

Autoroute has all the things as advertised. You can extract part of the map as Pocket Streets and export it to a PDA but it isn't the best bit of software for the job.

No voice instructions and no rerouting are the two that immediately spring to mind, unless these issues have changed in 2006.

I can't even get AR2006 to export the ruddy route to Pocket Streets so doubt if dynamic rerouting has been implemented...
