I have just purchased a ipaq 2490 and i looking for advise on what i need to purchase to operate my navman software on it. I am currently having issues with my navman it is taking 30 mins+ to pick up sat locations, i am presuming this down to the quaility of the gps? Do i need to install programmes onto the ipaq to read the software and operate the gps?
Any advise would be grateful as i have a habit of purchasing expensive mistakes.
Thanks |

Angus, which GPS unit are you using? and how old is it?
The reason I ask is this sounds like a dead back-up battery in the GPS unit, the GPS is having to find all its data that it needs each time you switch it on, there is clearly a fault, you should not be waiting for 30 mins for a sat fix.
You shouldn't need any other software on the device to get this to work.
