POI Clarification - TT One

First post - please be gentle. :D

Just bought my TomTom One and am currently waiting for a new SD card before downloading the speedcam database.

I understand from searching on these wonderful forums that the TT1 will cope with 39 POI categories. The thing I'm still unclear of is how these are totalled. Is it 39 CUSTOM categories (i.e. things I add myself, like the speedcam database and any others I find online) or do the pre-istalled TomTom categories count towards the total of 39? I've searched high and low and couldn't find a definitive answer on that.

Finally, thanks once again to all who use the forums - your opinions and guidance helped convince me of the benefits of my new 'navigator' - at least it gives the wife a break! Laughing

Welcome to the forums, it is 39 custom POI i.e. the ones you add to the device that count, the inbuilt ones are their regardless and do not consume any of the 39 available for use, as for giving the wife a break - mine won't get in the car if I put more than a single device in it, even then she gets mad listening to some other womans voice all the time, you can change the voice to that of your wife, but I can't find the time!! - Mike
