Deleting Maps Saved To Nuvi Internal Memory

Apologies for the number of postings regarding my new Nuvi 310 but as I work through a few issues other questions arise.

Anyway due to an issue regarding my PC not picking up the SD card (now sort of resolved see How To Save To SD Card posts) a number of maps were saved to the Nuvi internal memory and not where I wanted them, the SD card.

For reasons of space, etc I really would now like to move/save the downloaded maps to an SD card and just want to check I've identified the right file.

In the Garmin file on the 310 there are a number of gmap files.Is the 'gmapsupp.img' file the file which contains the new maps I've downloaded and can it be safely moved/saved/deleted to the SD card without causing any issues ?
