|
|
Hi,
Bought a new 1GB SD Card so I could add the western europe maps to it.
Putting it in the TomTom gives a 'No Card' Error.
I've tried copying all the files (including any hidden ones) to the new card, tried formatting it as FAT and FAT32 - but no luck.
If I try and use the TomTom CD to restore on the new card, it just gets into a loop saying "Turn the TomTom on"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance :-) |

If it still works with the original SD Card, I would think that there is a problem with the new Card. It has been known.![Sad](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) _________________ Richard

This does seem to be one of those perennial problems that doesn't seem to have a simple answer.
Many people say they have just copied everything from one card to the other with no problems. For others this seems to fail.
Common mistakes are not recreating the file and folder structure exactly as it was on the original (e.g. everything left inside a single folder) and not copying hidden files and folders.
But you've checked both of those....
Some people have found that first giving the card a format in another device (a digital camera etc.) has done the trick. Others have just given up and used a different card. Not very scientific I know..... ![Sad](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

Plus you'll need a 2Gb card for Western Europe, not a 1Gb card. |
