Hello all, newbie here. I have an Acer N35 running D3.0.75
Thanks to everyone who contributed to thread on setting up the speed camera database, it was really helpful.
I've set up the database. Since I don't jump lights, I've set up the fixed camera sites in Auto Alert 1 and the mobile sites in Auto Alert 2.
I have the custom icons set up fine.
I have the alert distances set to what I consider the optimum, and the alert wav files are played fine.
I have altered the DestinatorMGS.inf file, and the names of the folders in Favourites now shows as "Speed Camera" and "Mobile Site"
BUT
The text alert on screen still says "Auto Alert 1" and "Auto Alert 2"
Now, having read the big 8 page thread on this, I thought that having altered the Destinator MSG.inf file, I thought this should change the screen text alert.
What have I done wrong?
The only othrer thing I thought of trying is to rename the dat files in "Favourites" folder, but since everyone here was quite clear that the files had to be called Auto Alert 1 & 2, I thought I'd ask some advice.
I know with the two versions I have that all three files (DAT, BMP & WAV ) have to have the same name. otherwise destinator will play the default sound and or display the defult text message.
Also with the versions of Destinator I use v5.1 & v5.5 you do not have to name the files Auto alert 1 & 2
You can have Seperate Speed Cam files for Gatso, Temp, Mobile, Specs & Redlight.
