I have been useing a toshiba e400 pocket pc for about 18 months, i got it second hand....
all has been fine, then today the screen went black and when re-booted the Tom Tom sat nav had gone, all was left was some read only files !!!!!
The Question........
Can i reinstall the software ( if so where can i get it )
the only disc i have are.
1.Pocket PC e400 Series Companion CD &
2.GPS Receiver BU-303 User manual Ver 8.0
Can anyone Help !!!!!!! |

When you got it second hand the person who sold/gave it to you should also have given you the TomTom CD which would have a product code.
Without the original CD your only option is to purchase another copy of TomTom. _________________ Graham.

But, I thought that somebody said that you can't just 'sell' second hand TT stuff like this, because it's tied to the original device ? So what do you do with all your old gear that still has some life in it ? |

You can move the software between devices you own. Normally the first move is painless, after that you need to contact TomTom and produce evidence of ownership of both devices! |

Yes, but even so, you still need your product code.
TomTom don't support any use of the product second hand, as I've discovered. |
