Well almost Smile I travelled up to London recently by train and decided to keep my bluetooth TT receiver on to see what happened. It actually worked very well.

Sat in the train, with the receiver lent up against the window I managed to get upto 3 sats locked on and tracking me by rail. As expected it kept trying to jump me onto the nearest road (good job the driver didn't have one Wink ), but I was able to check the speed of the train! Max was 75mph but it was only a small train. Be interesting to try it out on one of the high speed trains though.

Yup done that.

I was still new to TT2 so had not grasped what the Safety speed was for. When Itwigged what it meant and why the screen changed I to set it to 110 mph as I was travelling home from London on a fastish train. Not sure even the 125 trains do more than that between London-Stevenage.

I had home set as my destination and it was odd watching poor old TT2 trying to figure what road I was on.

Not sure whether I posted this a few months back or felt too daft to say anything but your not alone in doing it (silly as it may seem to others).

Been there and done that on a plane too - a few months back, East Midlands to Glasgow. It was much happier once I had switched into map mode. It was great fun being able to track our position the whole way.
We managed a bit faster than 75mph too!!

Simkna, I tried that on a recent flight from Newcastle to Southampton, but couldn't get a signal. put it down to the size of the windows being too small to let much through, but obviously you had no problems.

I have to admit that I once did it on a flight from Houston to Philadelphia. Nice performance, even outside of the guaranteed parameters. Speed up to 570 mph, altiude 37000 feet... I think I was the only one on the plane appreciating it though ...
