hello all (not sure if this the right place to post this so sorry if not)
i have just got a tomtom 700 and looking to buy a new phone. the phone i want is a Sony Ericsson w900i but according to the tomtom.com the tomtom doesnt support that phone so was wondering if there is any software out there to make phones compatible so can use all features , phonebook/read/write txts and all that.
thanks

so theres only about 50 phones according to tomtom website that are compatible with the tomtom 700??? isnt that a bit poor half the phones dont even do all the features that tomtom have e.g send/read txts of it, just seems really odd to me |

This is not TomTom fault, blame the mobile manufacturers for not implementing the bluetooth stack correctly.

ok well theres no point in a handsfree on the tomtom then if it doesnt support many phones or no point in all those features like sending txts or phone book ah well |

To be honest the easiest thing to do is try that phone with a friends TomTom. Sending text via a TT seems silly. Answering a call etc useful.
Give it a go, you have nothing to loose _________________ Wayne
