Hi
I want to ensure all KFC restaurants are installed as POI on my Ipaq (Tom Tom 5 installed) & so have just installed, set up & downloaded all of the POI I wanted. Once I have restarted the Ipaq (soft reset) I expected to see lots. I have about 20 & the nearest listed is 57 miles away but I have one where I live buts not listed. There are about 500 in the country. Any ideas?

When you say you have all the POI you wanted, do you mean you have added lots of POI groups? If so remember there is a limit of 39 groups that you can add.
As to the accuracy a lot depends on when the POI was compiled. You could start your own.;) _________________ Richard

Hi
I only have 20 groups loaded, so should be OK on that front. I guess the accuracy is a good point - so as a complete beginner to this how do I go about compiling my own. Do you know of a link for instructions.
Thanks John |

Hi there curacion66,
Please find a link below with the latest KFC places. This should help with your quest. Let me know how you get on.

I think I am going to have a go at this, just because I want to find out if I can. If I manage it, I will let you know and then I can send the POI onto you. I will also send PGPSW a copy so that anybody can download this. Please bear with me though as there are nearly 500 locations in the UK. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the advice & the links. I'm going to have a bash at setting up the POI. Should be a good learning experience.

Hello there,
MaFt.co.uk have the POI's for Garmin. If you download the file, go to the excel file for KFC and you will find 185 there!
I have them all on my Garmin i3, along with McDonalds, Burger king, Kentucky fried chicken and Pizza hut. That's got a ring to it. Maybe I'll write a song...
Go to:
http://www.MaFt.co.uk/garmin/download.htm
Not too sure how you use POI's on an IPAQ, or how TOM TOM 5 works, but atleast you'll have the locations :D _________________ Nuvi 660, VW GOLF

Many thanks for this. I gave up trying to do it myself. This is far more than I have. I'll download & hopefully move forward.
