Why do TomTom use Navteq maps on the rider and not on the GO series?

From what I understand, TomTom uses both because they are trying to provide the best quality products and data to consumers, as such, they utilize data from multiple sources.

Or more cynically.... they wanted to scare TeleAtlas into thinking they were going to change map supplier, in order to get a better deal from them?

I really like the Tele Atlas maps, and I haven't used a Rider, so I'm not going to complain. So far, I've really find the TA maps to be great
