I am thinking of buying the Syson Memory CF GPS and wanted to know if someone could answer a question or two. I am SOOO ignorant about this...

1. Can I use this on a PDA as well as a Laptop??

2. Do I have to get a mapping software to use with it?

Welcome to the forum Lisa,

1.99.9% of the time the answer would be yes but there are exeptions see http://www.sysonchip.co.kr/eng/supp/sup_faq.htm#q08 ref Dell Pda X51.

If the Notebook PC has a CF slot, the CF GPS can be connected. Or you can use a PCMCIA card which the cf card slots in to connect the GPS.

2. Unless your getting mapping software bundled with the card you are going to spend more money for the mapping.

I would suggest that you provide details of your PDA so that forum members can best advise, there may be better / cheaper alternatives available. Thumbs Up
