Route planning away from Vehicle

I'm waiting for delivery of TT2 but I have a question about route planning that I hope someone can answer. I read up that 2D route plans can be inputed to the PDA away from the vehicle. Is it possible to then plug PDA into GPS Rx and start driving or will PDA need to initialise? I hopeing to plan route in advance and plug in and go.

Any info will be greatly received.

Yes, you can plan route without the GPS. TT will keep the last trip set.

Alternatively, you can also find the destination in the map view away from the car, then set and store the destination either as a favourite or POI, then simply navigate to this when you've wired up in the car.

In short Yes.

You can always save the destination as a favourite and use the Navigate To... option on the menu by tapping the Navigator view. It will calculate the route from where you are currently located. There is also a Navigate To... option where you can choose Home, which I used quite a bit when I first got TT2 to get used to the commands etc.
