before I had a 500 I owned a pda with tomtom installed on it.
I sold the pda and GPS unit, but for some reason kept the software.
The software had all the european maps for the PDA, now as summer is coming and a trip to europe is likely and I have no proper europe stuff on the 500, is it possible for me to install the maps from those disks to the go or do I have to buy them specifically for the 500?
Thanks in advance, this should help me avoid digging around the loft unneccessarily
Thanks. |

If they are V5 maps it should be OK. If they are older version, then they won't work. You will need a bigger SD Card to be able to get the extra maps on. _________________ Richard

Yes. The PC will see the 500 as a Removable Device. Install the Maps from the CD's. _________________ Richard

ok, well I managed to install them, thanks!
Now I notice on the TomTom website that it lists these maps at only 40 odd percent coverage in CH, whereas on the newer units they are 99%
can I buy and install the maps rather than buying a new unit? |

Do you mean the Maps on the x10 series Devices?
If so, I would imagine that these will become available (according to rumour) in the next few weeks. _________________ Richard
