I have a New TT One

Have searched around and can't quite pinpoint what I'm after so forgive me if this has been asked time and time again.

Is it possible to upgrade my card??

ie swap the 128 supplied with a spare Jessops 256mb one I have. This would give me tons of room for poi's, voices, etc etc etc

I have backed up at various points as i've added stuff, but I take it this just backs up the maps, voices, warnings, cam base etc. Or is it thw WHOLE card??

Now can I just take this backup and load all the files (making sure there are none hidden), and plonk these on to a fresh 256mb, then put that in and hey presto, bags of space?? Or is it not that simple.
Will I lose an activation "try"

What about the personal settings backup, can that then be loaded back after the new card has gone in, as via the prompt from the disc???

hope you can advise

Just to add to what Lutz said, and assuming you dont have a card reader, create a folder on your PC then drag the entire contents of the card into that folder. Then put the new card in the TT and reverse the process, making sure you drag (ie copy) the contents of the folder and not the folder itself. That way all the files will be back in the right place. Then eject the TT to make sure the write completed, disconnect the TT,and hey presto it should all work. Shouldnt need activation (mine didnt).

The folder on your PC is also complete backup of the original card which I advise you to store safely 'just in case'.

[if you have a card reader you can just drag directly but doing it via the PC does also leave you with a current backup]
