Hi all,
I installed the update last night to v2.9 but didnt have the time to check everything, I`m glad that I had looked here first though as someone had warned against the pc re-booting on finishing the download, which mine did, so checked it was ok and then had to turn it off.
Anyway, I have just checked all my settings now and all appears to be as it should except I have come across a setting for "Attention tones" which at the moment is on off. Can someone please tell me what this is for and do I need to turn this function on.
The GPS mode I have left on normal, ( but we wont go into that ).
Also, read on here again, someone said that if you come across a speed camera / signs and you dont get a warning to " hit the button" on the i3
what exactly is meant by this, it said something about marking it?
Your advice is welcomed and appreciated, thanks in advance. Dilwyn |

attention tones
they are a couple of bongs given prior to any voice prompts.
it is up to you but mine are off as they get on your nerves, besides the only bongs i need to hear are for the cameras.
as for the "hit the button" can anyone else assist |

Saw one of these today but wasn't sure where i was. Didn't think to hit the i3 to mark until much later.
Do these really measure average speed or just speed?

I think the 'hit the button' remark is refering to saving the speed camera location as a favourite, i.e. press and hold the scroll wheel.
You can then use 'easygps' when you get home to find the location of the camera and send it in to update the safety camera list. |

Thanks for the replies, I think I will have to read up on easygps first, dont really know how to use it, but as I have mentioned before there are a few sites here on anglesey that I need to check out re cameras and whether or not they are on the database.
Thanks again...Dilwyn |

And it was written by ME.
I was referring to the fact you can save a location by getting your passenger to hold down the scroll wheel for a few seconds to mark a location for reference later. |

Thanks PaulB, I knew i had seen it somewhere, took me ages to find it again. So what you are saying is if you find a location, by pressing the scroll wheel you can save it and recover it later and pass it on. assuming
I CAN find out how to recover it!!!!!Doh
Thanks for replying anyway........Dilwyn |

Yes. It'll be under Favourites saved as 001, 002, 003 etc. Then you can rename them from there. |
