Hi yer, I put in the address I am going to and follow the directions as they appear but the mileage does not tie up with what is quoted. ie 149 to Nth Wales and I did 180ish. Then Saturday 29 miles on the sat nav shown but I did over 40. Hasten to add followed the instructions and route. Any ideas please?

Yes - Simple - The mileage shown to any favourites or other POIs is as the crow flies 8)

Thanks for the quick reply. I did wonder so when it calulates the time to get there as per what speed you are doing is that direct or as per the navigated map. Wonder why it can't work out the mileage if it knows every turn?
Thanks. Baza. |

Yes - ETA displayed is per distance to run on current route...dunno why they don't give you both options (straight line + by road) on the mileage display - I guess it's down to because it hasn't calculated a route yet?

It calculates the timing from the turn by turn mapping.
The "crow flies" distances are to give you a rough idea of which POI's or favourites are closest.
