Had TTN5 on my xda11i now upgraded to mini S. Copied sd card contents to pc then to card on mini s.
It loads gives me the options of launguage, handing, time, voice then tells me it can not find maps.
GB is all showing on storage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated by a complete novice

Is the map on the root of the storage card?
Did you copy across all files (including the hidden ones)?? _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

When you copied across the files, you need to ensure that you have all files shown. Windows tends to 'hide' some files to ensure that you don't mess with the essentials.
As for the root of the storage card: connect PDA to your computer and then click on your memory card (or whatever you have called it. This screen is now the root of the storage card (basically, it is the first screen of the card).
I am going of memory here but hope I got the essentials correct. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

You need the original card in a card reader conected to the PC, open Windows Explorer and select the SD card from the drive tree on the left of the screen, go to the Tools control on the top task bar, from the dropdown select "Folder Options" then on the new window that will have oppened select the View Tab, part way down this screen is Hidden files and folders, select the radio check button for "Show hidden files and folders. then copy the files back from the SD card to the PC, when it has finished (make sure of this) swap over the cards and copy the files back.
The folder structure MUST be the same on the new card so please don't just copy the folder from your desktop to the new SD card, instead open the PC folder, select all the contents and drag then to the new card - hope this helps - Mike |
