Surprised, iPaq 3630 charging??

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help an old fool out please?

I have had my iPaq 3630 now near on 3 years. In all that time I have thought the only way to charge the thing was via the separate DC Jack connector. Unlike the newer models that have the power integrated into the data port.

Well, today, I have received my new Leadtek 9532 GPS Receiver and the cable that came with it seem to charge my iPaq! Is this possible? Or have I been taking too many pills?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the Leadtek cable is only using the data port and does not supply a DC jack.

The bottom port has power input pins so it can be wired to power/charge.
