Compatability issue with Palm Tungsten E2 PDA

Ever since I installed Via Michelin 4.1 software on my Palm Tungsten E2 to work with my palmone navigation companion, I have noticed that it takes several seconds for the screen to power up once the on-switch is pressed. Whereas before it was almost instantaneous.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there a solution, or is it something I will have to live with?

Have you tried taking out the memory card and trying it again?

I own a Tungsten E, and it starts up slower if I have a 1GB card in packed with MP3s.

I only use a 256MB card for ViaMichelin maps and the startup time is not noticably longer.

Thanks, I tried your suggestion.

Unfortunately, whether there is a card inserted or not, this doesn't affect the speed at which it turns on.
