Installing speed camera database streetpilot i3

I have downloaded the POI Loader both from the disk supplied with the gps and from your website and I have dowloaded the speed camera database (also from your website). Ihave tried to follow the instructions contained in the guide by Mike Barratt (05/10/05 Rev. 1.0) but when I connect the Streetpilot i3 via the USB port it switches on and then nothing else happens.
Have I forgotten something or am I doing something wrong?

Please help I've spent hours on this and I seem to have reached a dead end.
