Hi,

Has anyone got any information to say that TomTom might be releasing a new set of models at CeBIT. I'm thinking TomTom Two and Three??

I only ask as I need to purchase a unit (500 maybe) with bluetooth phone control (car kit) and I don't really want to buy something only to find out a new unit has replaced it... that's happen once too often.

I thought I would ask the people in the know... ie. this forum :D

Kind Regards

Jeremy.

stuff like this will always happen. We can't really help you there. If you have an urgent need, buy the 500. If you can wait, wait until CeBIT.

But of course remember that any new hardware/software announced at CeBIT may not be available for some months after the exhibition.

CeBIT is a massive, and I mean massive, consumer/business technology show in Hanover. I presented there when I worked for Orchestream and to be honest I still get nightmares from the experience :D not the talk but the town - no hotels available.

Anyway I purchased a TomTom500 from Comet online and got a free cradle for the wife's car. Popped over the amazon and purchased the extra mic and found that my 6230i works on a list of compatible phones. My question is this ... what now??

I used an application called CheckPoI before to download updates and sync with my PDA, is that still the case for the Go? It provided not only the speed camera's locations but other stuff like PC World(eek), Maplins, Travelodge and BT hotspots.

So... please let me know if a 'Howto Pimp Your Go' exists as I'm up for getting all the funcationality I can out it.

Also has anyone tested the traffic blackspot downloads from TomTom? Are they any good?

As a side note I used the AT&T Natural Voice service to create some excellent voice alerts, have seen this: (speed camera in 20 seconds etc..)

Kindest Regards,

Jez.
