Quest1.
On the trip computer dashboard my highest recorded speed sometimes shows spurious readings. Anyone got a clue how or why?
For example, the other day it was showing 220MPH !!!
Now, my Audi is fast, but not that fast.
I'm not overly concerned, but am curious as to how that happens. Anyone got an answer? |

This has to do with incidental bad reception and the calculated max speed. If your position "jumps" 1km in a splitsecond, the max speed is recorded very high. ;)
Nothing to worry about. :D _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )

ST4S, exactly as elsinga has stated.
I have the same trouble when going through tunnels, nothing to worry about - unless the police stop you for a 'chat'!!

Thanks both. It was just curiosity, but nice to know why.
I know GPS units do some funny things sometimes, my friend's Medion recently suggested that he "drive straight ahead for 3,232 miles" . |
