Hi,
firts things first, this is quite a good tool and works from getting yourself from a to b, but it seems very basic, no points of interest or anything. I'm happy with it but I need that bit more to be impressed.
Can anyone help or just confirm that I've bought a bit of a lemon in the wow factor stakes.
My package only came with 2 CDS -
1. Back up CD for UK Map
2. XP Software
I've read on other threads that I need a Destinator Console CD to allow me to import things to my Acer PDA
Also trying to registor my product with Destinator so I can ask them, I have to supply a ID key which I can promise is nowhere in my package.
Anybody else had this problem?
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
I don't know if this is of help but if you choose 'About' on the multibox screen of Destinatorlite you get a number that you may be looking for plus the vesion of software. If you go to the 'Upgrade' button it tells you this. Incidentally, my acer n35 came with a sheet offering an upgrade discount to PN with europe map. Haven't found any mention on their site but I have up to 45 days to apply apparently. |

Same here. Got the thing working but I have to pick up the sats before I get in the car or it doesn't work! Can't find any reference to upgrades on the destinator web site, can't find a reg code in order to register the software on their site. If any of you find out how to do this I'd be really grateful if you could share it!

I run Destinator OP and this came with two CDs. BOth just look like map discs but the first one has Destinator Console software on it that automatically goes to install when you insert it in PC. It also install the maps on the pc in order to transfer to your device. Disc 2 is simply more maps and this needs to be inserted when using destinator console to access these maps.
As for the id key. I found mine written on the sleeves which contain the discs. There is also a quick activation option within destinator console software - I am not sure if this will retrieve the code fom your device or not. I just remember going on Destinator site and inputting the Key that was on the sleeve.
To be honest Destinator Customer support is crap. There is no mention of my Destinator version either and there responses to emails seem standadised as other people recieve the same comment word for word (about five weeks after initial contact that is).
If you guys are struggling with not having Destinator Console for using the import feature I can send you this if you PM me your emails. It will not contain the maps though as this would be too large. But if you have map disc then you are ok to load them on with this software. _________________ Goodmans GNAV10
