Confusing Lat/Long Figures

Hi Everyone, I'm a bit confused by the way Mapstore displays its Latitude/Longtitude, it's like this 51*49,8045'
A usual Latitude might look like this 54.927443
So is 51*49,8045' = 51.49804 because 49.8 is nearly .50 is that half a degree, or 50 minites, see what I mean.

Mapstore displays the lat/lon in the same way as the standard NMEA feed, namely DDDMM.MMMM

51 is the degrees, and 49.8045 the minutes. Divide the minutes by 60 and then add to the degrees. The result then is 51.830075 (so that's slightly different from your approach ;-) )
