Hi
I just recently got these 3 components working together but its not very stable. After a varying amount of time, 5-30 minutes, TomTom just stops getting a signal from the GPS device. It then requires a phone reboot for it to work again. I never have to power off/on the GPS unit. This is really annoying Also i've found with AFTrack (another GPS util for the Symbial S60 operating system) that it also looses the GPS signal, yet this happens less frequently.
I have made no GPS specific changes (if there are any) to either the phone or the GPS device.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to diagnose this problem? A friend has Route 66 which I might install for testing. I don't know anyone with another type of GPS reciever which I could use either.
Anyone know if TomTom has any debug or logging?
TIA |

Also i've read about SiRF and NMEA protocols and some suggestions to use one or the other. This is rather confusing... would this be a factor in my connectivity problems? |
