Any cameras I pass I want to add onto my tomtom one i'm using firmerware version 5.420 so I cant use poi capture.
So basically if I pass a camera thats not on the database I wanted to know if I could add it ? |

Hi Soulman !
I'm new to sat nav and to this forum too, and have had my TomTom One for only a couple of weeks, so I'm no expert -yet .
I believe you cannot add POI data to any of the default POI categories that are pre-loaded into the TomTom. (I hope someone can prove me wrong on that point).
However if you use the downloadable POI categories from this website, or other similar ones, then you certainly can add to these POIs manually. I've spent a happy few minutes adjusting the position of certain Gatso cameras that I drive past regularly that were not placed perfectly in the database. I've also added a red light camera that was't in the database too ! and added other POIs like restaurants etc.
You can't easily add a new POI like a Gatso camera on the fly while driving. It is necessary to make a mental note of where the camera is when you drive pass it and then enter its location into your TomTom when you have a quiet 5 minutes. |

Beg to differ.
Here's a link to a previous thread where I've outlined how I do it. If you customise the menus (do a forum search on details for that) you can get the number of button presses down lower.
My method of manually storing cameras |
