Yesterday when driving east on the A303 through Wiltshire past Stonehenge, as I approached the roundabout at Amesbury (Countess Roundabout?) TT5 told me to take the second exit then take the motorway - there's another 30 miles of A303 befoe the M3 is reached.
Has anyone else noticed this? The map is OK so who do I report it to, TT?

Hi,
Yes, it says it to me every week there; I'd assumed it's just an extreme example of the "premature secondary warning" bug. Does anyone know of any other examples of ".. then .." instructions more than 30 miles too early !?
However, yesterday I happened to use "advanced planning" for a route from Yeovil to Devizes, which involved a long section of the A303 (but not as far east as the Countess roundabout), then along the A360. To find a more interesting journey I tried the "avoid motorways" option (even though there was none on the route) and it then turned off the A303 about 15 miles earlier, and up the A350! (a predicted journey about one mile shorter and two minutes longer).
So perhaps Tom Tom or TeleAtlas do consider the A303 to be some kind of motorway. But I'm not sure I'd call it a bug, as at least in my particular case, it produced the desired result (i.e. a shorter and more interesting route).
Yes, I have come across premature voice warnings but not to the extent when the turning etc is still 30 miles away. However, the flaw has never bothered me because I always give a quick glance at the screen after exciting a roundabout etc and the quick glance tells me how far it is to the next direction change. I think Jane just likes to be a little bitchy. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Well, the A303 is a dual carriageway, 70 MPH speed limit (?) and off ramps rather than intersections or roundabouts from there until the M3. It sounds like a motorway in all but name to me. _________________ Gone fishing!
