Help please.. I've upgraded to V6.. When I go into Routing for the routing type and Toll Roads all I get is a load of little icons, its the same in the Guidance with the drop down menus.
Is this normal. ? The instructions in the help files do not look like this.
.
Thanks

Hi Daps,
Have you got Geopostcode installed on your PDA as well as Copilot 6?
The same thing happened to me, try a hard reset to get rid of Geopostcode and then just try installing copilot 6, you should then find the shapes and icons have disappeared.

Steve..
Thanks for suggestion.
I've never heard of Geopostcode so I dont know if its on there or not.
I've got to transfer everything off the Mio in order to give it hard re-set.
Worth a try though. Icons are annoying.
.
Regards

Hi Alan,
Has your hard reset cured the problem?
It is a stand alone program with a postcode database, and converts any postcode into a longitude and latitude reference which it then puts into a copilot trip file as a waypoint.
I used the program with copilot 5, but when I installed CP 6 I had to uninstall it, no worse do a hard reset to get the menus in CP6 working properly. When installing Geopostcode the installation installs a NS Basic/CE 5 Runtime language on your PDA, which I suspected could of been causing the problem, especially if it clashes with a similar language CP6 might utilise.
I wonder if you have any runtime files on your PDA, or programs which use them?
Regards

Hello Steve.
.
Whatever it was, re-set done the trick. I had visions of sending it back to ALK. The hard re-set cured it all. From what I remember I once D/L something called Runtime for VB??? so no doubt you hit the nail on the head.
Many Thanks for your help.
.
Regards
