Any ideas if the Brodit mounts will hold a HX4700 in landscape mode? I'm specifically thinking of getting this one : http://www.brodit.com/images/992621.jpg "992621 Holder with speaker Active holder with cigg-plug. With tilt swivel. 12/24 Volt."
Also, if it will hold the iPaq in landscape mode - what's the movement like on it? ie - can you still swivel it around to avoid sun glare ? _________________ --

The answer is yes, the mount has a central tension screw that can be slackened off allowing the mount to be rotated and then retightened in the new position. The mount can also be adjusted to avoid reflections. I keep mine on landscape and the PDA remains secure and vibration free.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks Alistair, sounds perfect for what I need then.
Only query now remaining is as to whether it will tilt/swivel a) enough for the passenger to see the unit (the wife is nosey sometimes), and b) if it will swivel sufficiently with a "Angled" Brodit mount on a 2005 Mondeo. Guess that one will be trial and error.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply - appriciate it. _________________ --

Mine is fitted to a Brodit Proclip and works well so far as positioning and viewing angle are concerned.
