Hi There,

Seem to be having issues with start up fix with my 520 - both in & out of car takes 10+ mins to get fix. Tried also with external antenna & same. Someone suggested I go to Automatic mode and this helps but still 2-3 mins to get fix - assume this is best I'll get ? Also, any way to set Automatic mode as default start up ?

Thanks

Sounds af if you have a problem one. I'd get it checked out or replaced.

how long have you had the unit for? it can take up to 40 mins to get a lock the first couple of times you use the GPS device.

Thanks Steven - only a week and I've tried several times today and it does seem to be much quicker, no more than 2 mins. Assume it's bedded itself in.

Colda,
If you set your navman to power off, how do you do it?

At the front or with the slide on the back?

Because if you use the slide on the back the navman has lost his last GPS fix. If you use the button on the front to power on/off then normally if you turn it on it cost 30 to 60 seconds.( in my case)
