I'm upgrading from an x30 to an x50v (wm2003se). I know I need a new cradle, but can I use the same navigator 2004 software and wired gps? I have to get an approval code from tomtom to transfer the software, correct?
Thanks,
Steve |

This depends on when you installed the software on the old device. If it's been more than 6 months (very likely) then you can just go ahead and install on the "new" device (on the x50, that is). _________________ Lutz

yes, that will work fine (assuming the x50 has the same connector and serial interface) _________________ Lutz

So if I get an x50v specific cradle, like one from arkon or seidio for example, I can use the tomtom navigator 2004 software and my tomtom wired mouse receiver w/no problem? That would be awesome, but my concern is that tomtom doesn't list them as compatible.
Thanks,

What do you expect? TomTom Navigator 2004 is no longer supported by TomTom either... Nevertheless it works fine. It's just old. _________________ Lutz
