Hi first time here but hope you can help me.

Xmas is coming and my better half want to get me sat nav,
I have a Nokia N70 and im torn between Navicore and route 66 mobile7- europe.

i live in uk but will mostly be using the sat nav in spain (costa blanca-torrevieja)

Navicore uses Teleatlas
Route 66 uses Navteq

can anyone please give me there choice on the two and why.

I have recently installed Route 66 Mobile 7 on my N70. It works well for the UK, but the Spanish map coverage looks very sparse. I suspect, but don't know, that the Navicore maps are even less complete.

hey thanks for the reply

well i contacted navteq on their coverage of spain and this is their reply:

The coverage for the country Spain is at the moment:

Detailed: All street types are validated by NAVTECH fieldworkers on location
and fully attributed. = 55%
RMC: All 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th level street types are validated by NAVTECH
fieldworkers on location and fully.= 92%
Inter-town: All 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th level street types are validated by
NAVTECH fieldworkers on location and fully attributed.= 100%

I also contacted Navicore on their spain coveage they use teleatlas this was their reply:

Sorry for the delayed answer, I had to check with the techical department about the
percentage Navicore covers. The answer was that Navicore covers about 98% of Spains
roadnetworks.

So over all in still in two minds but i have emailed teleatlas direct to see what they say.

so i wait and see.
